Good Samaritan hosting Independence Day celebration on Wednesday

Friends and family of the Good Samaritan Society-Beatrice are invited to an Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 2, at the center, 1306 S. Ninth St.

Activities begin with outdoor games at 7 p.m. Residents and family members can play games such as bocce ball, ladder ball, horseshoes or badminton. A watermelon feed is planned at 8 p.m.

The main event, a fireworks show, will begin around 9 p.m. Parkview Center will co-sponsor the small fireworks show to close out the evening. The public is invited to celebrate with the residents.
