The Beatrice City Council is scheduled to discuss the use of All-Terrain Vehicles as a legal form of transportation on city streets at the council’s next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Beatrice Public Schools Administration Building.

Consent agenda: Approve/deny replacement of Beatrice Public Library phone system in the amount of $8,828 as quoted by Windstream and recommended by the Library Board; refer pending litigation regarding a summons in a civil case against the Beatrice Police Department to the city attorney and the city’s insurance carrier; resolution establishing a pretrial diversion program with Traffic Safety Plus; acceptance of resignation of Councilmember Susan Witulski; and acceptance of waste reduction and recycling grant from Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality in the amount of $65,200 to purchase a loader for the compost facility as recommended by the Board of Public Works.
Aerial platform: Approve/deny ordinance authorizing issuance of Public Safety Equipment Tax Anticipation Bonds in the amount of $815,000 to fund the purchase of the aerial platform truck.
