Daniel Dale “Jack” Hauptman, 59, of Plattsmouth, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Born Aug. 13, 1948, at Nebraska City. Truck driver.

Survivors: wife, Louella (Gilbert) Willis; sons, David Hauptman of Beatrice, David Willis of Randolph, Iowa; daughters, Brenda Garrison of Denver, Colo., Kathy Prendergast of Omaha, Lori Greenidge of Nebraska City; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Joe Hauptman of Rock Port, Mo., Richard Hauptman of Elkhorn, Charles “Ron” Hauptman, Dean Hauptman, both of Nebraska City, Don Hauptman of Juniata; sister, Jean Wieckhorst of Nebraska City. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Rhobie (Munson) Hauptman; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Hauptman; sisters, Stella McGinty and Rhobie Roll; brother, Roy Hauptman.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, First Presbyterian Church, Nebraska City. Burial of ashes in Cowles Hill Cemetery near Nebraska City. Memorials established.
