Irene A. Jobman, 76, Beatrice, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at her home. She was born January 15, 1932, at rural Filley, Nebraska. She grew up in the Filley area, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Filley High School in 1949. She married LeRoy Jobman on January 20, 1952, at the American Lutheran Church, Filley, Nebraska. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beatrice. Irene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, garden and spent hours cross stitching. She was an accomplished seamstress, who was often called upon to do mending for her loved ones. Irene was an avid fan of Husker football, baseball and volleyball and the Kansas City Royals.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy, four sons, Virgil Jobman and wife Pat of Filley, Nebraska, Paul Jobman, Mark Jobman and wife Karen, Russell Jobman and wife Missy, all of Beatrice; one daughter, Nadine Hibbert and husband Larry of Beatrice; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Haecker and husband Dana of Lincoln, Brynn Jobman of rural Crete, Kelsey Hibbert, of Lincoln, and Andrew Hibbert of Lincoln, and fiancee, Natasha Weishahn of Laramie, Wyoming, Cassie Baete-Jobman, Matthew, Caleb, Noah and Hannah Jobman all of Beatrice, two great-grandchildren, Taylon and Bryson Haecker of Lincoln.; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bruns, Ann Jobman, and Theda Jobman, all of Beatrice, and Rosetta Stevens of Gothenburg, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ida (Schuster) Bruns, son: Thomas, brothers: John and Edward Bruns, granddaughter Natalie Jobman, grandson: Zachary Jobman.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beatrice, with Pastor Chuck Bentjen officiating. Visitation at Harman Wright Mortuary, Beatrice, on Saturday and Sunday from noon-9 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2008. A family prayer service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
