Lady Titans fall in EMC

SPRINGFIELD - Firth Norris’ Lady Titans fell to host Springfield-Platteview in the first round of the Eastern Midlands Conference volleyball tournament Monday.

The Lady Titans dropped the match, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Norris’ attack was led by Julia Krueger with seven kills and Abby Olsen with six.

Leah Burbach led in set assists with 22.

Stevie Grossenbacher had a team-high 24 digs, while Krueger led in ace serves with two.

In other EMC first-round action, Elkhorn defeated Plattsmouth, 25-14, 25-27, 25-10, 25-11; Nebraska City downed Gretna, 25-11, 25-20, 25-17; and Waverly defeated Blair, 25-12, 25-23, 27-25.
