What’s old is new again when it comes to the 2017-18 season, with two shows — “Will & Grace” and “Roseanne” (at midseason) — returning with their original casts and two more — “Dynasty” and “S.W.A.T.” -- being rebooted.

I blame it on “Gilmore Girls.”

Netflix enjoyed a ton of buzz and fanfare last year when it brought back Lorelai and Rory for four episodes. The streaming service also has had success with “Fuller House,” with members of “Full House” reprising their roles.

And because TV often is a copycat industry …

There also is a bunch of original fare, but missing this fall from the lineups of the broadcast networks — ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW — is “This is Us,” which wowed audiences and critics alike, or “The Good Place,” a comedy that featured atypical storytelling and was a welcome departure from the standard sitcom format. No reality shows are included in this list.

There are a few good shows worth checking out — and a few more to avoid. Here’s my rundown of the network shows from worst to first, with their premiere dates. Interestingly, ABC has my three favorites.
