Pounds lost this week: +1
This week has been busy. We missed out normal Monday workout because of one puking boy, but made up for it on Tuesday. I'm a night shift person. Working 12 hours. Knowing I wasn't going to get much sleep after working out and BPS early out on Wednesday had me walking into the gym in a foul mood. The husband had already been subjected to my surly attitude when I walked in the door at 0730 and the hour I did sleep hadn't improved my mood. I got on the elliptical and even Bryan knew I wasn't feeling it.
But I'll be darned if Bryan's upbeat attitude and encouraging words didn't get a smile out of me. Then, maybe some of those endorphins I've heard about kicked in because I felt better. Darn it. I felt better. I guess that is why you keep seeing those people running - they look like they are going to drop dead, but they are out there daily. Exercise makes you feel better. There, I said it. By the end of the workout, I was still tired, but I felt better and was glad I'd done it. I didn't even care that I'd gained 1.5 pounds.
Yep, I even gained weight. It happens; I'd struggled with my eating over the weekend, sometimes it's a losing battle. Bryan's words of wisdom to us every week are "nutrition, nutrition, nutrition."
It's great that we are working out, but if you don't change your eating, it will only take you so far. I'll just keep working on it and focus on feeling better, being more active, and not letting the numbers ruin my progress.
