MONDAY: In preparation of this coming Saturday's Heart Healthy 5k Run, I went out to the trail and did my first test run…38:55…I wasn’t upset with that number for my first time. I then partook on some food I shouldn’t have for the big game on Sunday. (The right team won!). With that being done the night before, I was not looking forward to today’s workout. I did end up paying for it a bit. Brian asked me to get in some cardio on Tuesday. Tuesday night, I made it to the gym to hop on the treadmill for another practice 5k. About half way through, I got what I thought/hoped was a cramp in my calf. The pain did not go away. I struggled my way through the last half and hobbled my way back home for the night.

WEDNESDAY: My calf is not better at all! I made sure to talk to Bryan about it, and we decided to do my work out without working my lower legs as much, so we did bike work and upper body circuit training. I was not the happiest with my weigh in, but as long as I don’t gain, I need to be happy! I need to re-evaluate my diet a little. I am not going over calories, but I know that I am not always eating the right foods at the right time. Last week, we wanted to make sure we were having two servings of fruits and veggies each day. That was never an issue as I normally eat enough of both. But I didn’t have enough “real" foods last week. So a food focus change is currently happening.

THURSDAY: Fighting this whole “injury” has not been easy! We did an almost no impact work out today. It was primarily focused on cardio, so I spent most of the time on the bike. Varying speeds and times, with come core workout in between rides. Saturday is my least favorite day coming up, with my calf, and the weather, the 5k is going to be terrible. I will finish it! I baked some Pollock fish fillets and chicken breast, so I will be able to have some healthy “real” meals for the weekend!
