Pounds lost this week: 7
I’ve known Bryan Seibel for several years now, just never trained with him before. I’ve always thought he was a friendly and caring guy and from reading years of blogs it seemed like challengers really connected with him.
A few weeks in to the Fitness Challenge I’m happy to report all those things are true. In addition to that, he knows what he’s talking about.
In my line of work I’ve become a bit of a skeptic over the years, rarely believing the words I hear until I see some kind of proof. In journalism we have a saying that all new reporters are taught: If your mom says she loves you, check it out.
The first day of the Challenge, Bryan told us that the workouts will be hard and important, but the real key to success – and the hardest part -- will be our nutrition.
Last week was tough on the diet with a Chamber Banquet and work party in the same weekend.
I tried to make up for the extra calories by adding time to workouts and pushing a little harder. While it was another successful week of weight loss, I can’t help but think how great it could have been had I stuck to the nutrition plan.
Bryan is already warning us that there will be weeks when the scale doesn't show a loss and that there are more ways than just "pounds lost" to measure progress.
