Pounds lost this week: 3.5
One word describes the past week
As of Monday my son officially turned 18 months! He is seriously the most amazing thing in my life, and the reason I strive to be better. Two days after his "big" day, he came down with the crud that's been going around and we ended up staying in the hospital and finding out he had Parainfluenza virus type 3. Parainfluenza 3 is similar to rsv and usually is accompanied by bronchitis and pneumonia. Days and nights turned into round the clock checking of oxygen levels, breathing treatments, and being greeted by nurses in paper hazmat gear.
Trying to find time and motivation for workouts was harder than most days but I got it done. I did however find it easy to succeed at making healthy food choices and trying some new recipes.
Despite the chaos I was able to still be down 3.5 pounds which made me happy to see progress was still being made. It felt good to go in the gym and forget about the craziness at home, I never thought I'd be one who finds relief on a treadmill. That right there shows progress!
As for next week, life could stop throwing curve balls at any moment!
