Numerous people have been arrested following a drug investigation by area law enforcement.
On Tuesday, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force, Beatrice Police Department, Wymore Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol, arrested the following people for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, along with additional, related charges:
Barbara Coleman, 57, of Wymore; Christina Lewien, 34, of Virginia; Destiny Burr, 19, of Blue Springs; Michael Hockman, 34, of Liberty; and Skyler Hutchison, 22, of Blue Springs.
The arrests were part of an ongoing drug investigation being conducted by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, according to a press release.
While arresting Lewien at 415 3rd St. in Virginia, deputies also located a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana in Lewien’s bedroom.
These latest arrests bring the total to 13 people who are facing criminal charges as a result of the investigation.
Those who have already been charged include:
Amanda Cline, 37, of Wymore; Roger Cline, 48, of Wymore; Kyle Wathor, 29, of Wymore; Dennis Burr, 29, of Beatrice; Charles Burr, 32, of Blue Springs; Aaron Burr, 37, of Blue Springs; Thomas Sailors, 58, of Blue Springs; and Ashley Bartels, 19, of Blue Springs.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
