Beatrice police arrested a man accused of making threats after a crowbar was recovered from a vehicle.
At around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to North Sixth Street for reports of criminal mischief.
A red Pontiac Sunfire allegedly followed the victim’s vehicle through town and, at one point, the driver or a passenger threw something at the vehicle, hitting the back end of it.
The occupants of the Sunfire got out of the vehicle and began hitting the victim's vehicle with their hands.
A 17-year-old juvenile was identified as the driver of the Pontiac, and Austin Reed as the passenger, along with an unknown person in the back seat.
The Pontiac returned to the scene shortly later and allegedly threatened the victim with a crow bar.
The car was stopped by a state trooper, and a crow bar was found in the back seat.
Reed was placed under arrest for terroristic threats, assault, criminal mischief and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
His bond was set at $2,500, with a 10 percent deposit. His next hearing is set for April 3.
