Anthony L. Ideus, 23, of Holmesville died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday morning, September 18, 2008. He was born on November 24, 1984 at Beatrice.
He attended Paddock Lane Elementary School and graduated from Beatrice High School in 2003. He attended one year of massage school in Lincoln and then worked at Husqvarna in Beatrice as a painter. He currently was working for LG Electric in Lincoln as an electrical apprentice. He was a life-long member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He enjoyed his dog, Missy, was an avid movie buff and enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors include his parents, Merle and Jane Ideus of Beatrice; two brothers, Adam Ideus and fiancee Ashley Fisher and Alex Ideus all of Beatrice; grandmother, Velma Ideus of Beatrice; grandfather, William C. Johnson of Filley; five aunts, Donna Otto and husband Dale of Beatrice, Renae Mason and husband Chris of Filley, Ruth Huls and husband Marv of Lincoln, Kathy Henderson and husband Ted of Broken Bow and Nancy Goeken and husband Jerry of Lincoln; one uncle, Larry Johnson and wife Sandi of Filley; three nieces, Brooke, Madalynn and Hannah Ideus. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Ideus, Jr. and grandmother, Irene Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Legacie and Sharon Schuster, PMA officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of rural Pickrell. A family prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. Closed visitation will be held at the Fox Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Saturday until 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Duane Schuster and Wayne Schuster in charge.
