Beatrice M. Thompson
Beatrice M. “Bea” Thompson, age 63, of Wymore passed away on Sept. 28, 2017. She was born in Beatrice on Oct. 6, 1953 to Loren and Naomi (Shafer) Canfield. She married Edward H. Thompson on June 3, 1994. Bea enjoyed crocheting, gardening, talking on the phone, dancing, spending time with family and “collecting to give.”
Survivors include her husband, Ed; children, Wesley Blessing of Tecumseh, Sharon Schmidt with husband, Todd of Beatrice, Karen Carr with husband, Lee of Lincoln, Amanda Rogman with husband, Shawn of Wymore, John Eisenhauer with special friend, Jennifer Ambroz of Wymore and Sara Quaintance with husband, Jim of rural Wymore; stepchildren, Phil, Ed, Caroline, Michael, Nieshia and their families; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Canfield with wife, Susie; sisters, Deb Coon, Kay Hereth, Teresa Canfield and Lucile Salts; lifelong friends, Gary and Joanne Ames and Sharon Crosier; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gale Canfield; and brothers-in-law, Larry Coon and Rick Salts.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore, with Sharon Schuster officiating. Burial will be at the Blue Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the family greeting relatives and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial has been established to the family's choice, with the funeral home in charge.
