Catherine T. 'Katie' Miller
Catherine T. “Katie” Miller, 92, of Beatrice, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday night, Oct. 6, 2017 at Beatrice Health and Rehab. She was born on Feb. 15, 1925 at rural Farwell, Neb. She married Raymond A. Miller on May 24, 1949 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farwell. They moved to Beatrice where Katie worked at the Chalet café. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice and enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening with Raymond.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Sally and Kevin Chlupacek of Omaha, Patty and Milan Powers of College Station, Texas, Randy and Ellen Miller of Beatrice, Joanie Miller, Jenny and Jim Wohlers and Chuck Miller, all of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Jr. (Sharon) Koperski and Leonard Koperski, all of Farwell; two sisters, Rose Jasnoch of Loup City and Leona (Robert) Verley of St. Paul; three sisters-in-law, Viola Koperski and Gladys Koperski, both of Dannebrog, and Dorothy Koperski of St. Paul; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Vernie Lubash Koperski; her husband, Raymond, who died on March 3, 2013; daughter-in-law, Judy Miller; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; four brothers, Harry, Edward, Stan and Paul Koperski; and two sisters, Bertha Kuszak and Cecilia Koperski.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice, with Father Robert Barnhill serving as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery of Beatrice. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the family's choice. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and not at the church on Wednesday. Visit www.foxfuneralhome.net.
