Larry Inman, 74, of Beatrice passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Neb.
Larry was born in Newbern, Tenn. to George and Kate (Jones) Inman on July 31, 1943. He attended school in Newbern. Later, he worked as a supervisor at the Wrangler Garment Factory where he met Glenda Gilbert, a friend of 45 years. He then went to work at a group home for boys in Newbern. After moving to Beatrice, he worked in the Direct Care staff at BSDC for several years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Beatrice and served faithfully as a deacon for many years. Larry was a daily visitor at the Beatrice Public Library, where the staff enjoyed meeting with him. He enjoyed reading and visiting with the shut-ins from the church. His helpful, kind, and caring manner will be missed by all who knew him.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Charles and George.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Beatrice, with Pastor Nolan Hayes officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date in Newbern, Tenn. Arrangements have been made by Harman–Wright Mortuary of Beatrice.
