Mildred A. Delabar
Mildred A. Delabar, 90, of Beatrice died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. She was born on Dec. 1, 1926 on a farm in rural Gage County to Carl F. and Gladys (Longstreth) Hartwig. Mildred attended Sherman Center Country School, southeast of Cortland. She enjoyed helping on the farm, gardening, playing cards, watching birds, word searches, making quilts for her family and sewing for anyone. Mildred was a former member of the Adams Presbyterian Church and the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice.
Survivors include her son, Bob Delabar with wife, Beth of Adams; her daughter, Barbara Buss with husband, Alvin of Beatrice; her grandchildren, Michael Buss with wife, Lorinda of Adams, Julie Huls with fiancée, Luke Traynowicz of Adams, Kim Barnes of Adams, Jill Rogman with husband, Alan of St. Mary, Neb., Becky WoundedArrow with husband, Leo of Lincoln and Tracey Moore with husband, Luke of Munden, Kan.; her 19 great-grandchildren; her 10 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Don Hartwig with wife, Bonnie of Lincoln; her sister-in-law, Carol Hartwig of Lincoln; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward (1990); her brother, Melvin Hartwig; and two infant grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary chapel in Beatrice, with Pastor Doyle Karst officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary. Visitation will take palce from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at Harman-Wright Mortuary, and at 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
