Patricia Trauernicht of Broomfield, Colo., completed a remarkable journey on Feb. 25, 2008, surrounded by family. She was a woman of charity, a faithful wife for thirty-nine years, a loving mother and grandmother, a real estate broker associate and friend to many. Patricia Ann Fredrickson was born on Feb. 25, 1949, in Beatrice, Neb. She was the daughter of Margaret Siebels and Darrell Fredrickson.
She graduated from Filley High School on May 18, 1967. She married Willard Trauernicht on April 6, 1969. After moving to Colorado, she started her career in real estate in 1979 and has been working with RE/MAX Horizons Group for the past 15 years. Pat was loved and admired by her family and friends for the courageous way she lived her life, and especially the positive attitude she had in spite of her struggle with cancer. She always found ways to show how much she loved her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. They were always a loving part of her life, and she was very proud of them. Although she will be greatly missed, there is peace in the certainty that she is now resting in the arms of God, and not having to struggle in any way.
She is survived by her husband, Willard; her daughters, Amy, and husband Mark Ochoa of Manhattan, Kan., Nicole, and husband Ryan Fitts of Thorton, Colo.; her beloved grandchildren, Megan and Katie Ochoa, Xander and Chloe Fitts; sisters, Donna Rae Graham of Barneston, Neb., Norma Jean and husband, Sam White of Huntington Beach, Calif., Denise and husband, Kevin Cole of Columbia, Mo.; brothers, Galen Volesky of Friend, Neb., Mike and wife, Vonda Volesky of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Robert Volesky of Beatrice, Neb. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Fredrickson Volesky and Darrell Fredrickson.
A funeral service will be held at Lutheran Church of Hope in Broomfield at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. The family will be receiving guests at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield, Colo., Friday, Feb. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the Patricia A.
