Richard L. Marshall
Richard Lee Marshall, 51, of Hebron and previously of York, died on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 in Hebron. He was born on Aug. 18, 1966 in Beatrice to Rodney and Marilyn (Otto) Marshall.
While living in York, Richard worked at Mosaic in the recycling program. When he moved to Hebron, he lived at the Blue Valley Care Home, where he made a lot of friends and enjoyed living there. He was very involved in the Special Olympics. Richard enjoyed playing dominoes and Yahtzee, fishing, bicycle-riding, and he enjoyed being active. Richard never met a stranger and was always friendly and outgoing to everyone.
Richard is survived by his parents, Rod and Marilyn Marshall of Beatrice; his foster parents, Frank and Betty Kodera of Hebron; two sisters, Barbe (Eric) Hansen of St. Paul, Minn. and Debbie Marshall of Bloomington, Minn.; his foster brother, Tom Kodera of Kansas city, Mo.; his foster sister, Sue (Robert) Helm of Buckeye, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in York. No viewing or visitation will take place as cremation has been arranged. Memorials may be directed to the Blue Valley Care Home at 220 Park Ave., P.O. Box 166, Hebron, NE 68370.
