Ryan Margaret Post
Ryan was born Sept. 8, 2004 in Lincoln and passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 26, 2017. She was an eighth grader at Norris Middle School. She was passionately devoted to club cheer at Cheer Xpress for five years, not only as a student but also as a mentor. She was a cheerleader's cheerleader. She is an inspiration in everyone's lives. She adored her family and spending time with them. She wasn't scared of an adventure. She loved camping, tubing, boating, swimming, target shooting, shopping, her three dogs and two cats. She shared a special bond with her sisters and loved helping with her little brother. Ryan gave the gift of life to Nebraska Organ Recovery which saved five lives and helped countless others.
She was preceded in death by her great-great-grandmother, Marguerite Kostal; her great-great-grandmother, Dorothy Landon; her great-grandmother, Margaret Busch; her great-grandfather, Ralph Post; and her cousin, Gavin Forney.
She is survived by mother, Colleen Lovett (Jamie Lane); father, Jeramie Post (Becky Young); sisters, Riley Post, Raelyn Post and Dakota Sturm; brothers, Jaden McKeever, Alec and Zachary Lane; grandparents, Mark and Marie Yeck and Greg and Rena Post; great-grandparents, Darlene Barnes, Philip Busch, Marilyn Yeck and Gerald Yeck; aunts and uncles, Molly Voorhees (Josh), Emily Forney (Chris), Brent Lovett, Andrew Post (Jessica) and Matthew Post (Wendy); as well as numerous cousins and she was especially close with her cousin, Bailey Lovett, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 from 4-8 p.m., with family from 5-7 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sheridan Lutheran Church, located at 6955 Old Cheney Road in Lincoln. The family is requesting all phones and electronic devices be left at home or in personal vehicles. No photos will be permitted. A private family graveside and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to First National Bank of Omaha in name of Ryan Post.
