Rosine to co-direct summer production

Dr. Amy Rosine

Dr. Amy Rosine, from the Kansas State Music Department, will be co-directing this summer’s M-ACT production of “Into the Woods,” alongside Carla Wolfe. Rosine will be handling the music end of the production.

A soprano, she is the Associate Professor of Music at Kansas State University. She teaches applied voice, vocal techniques and serves as vocal coach for the K-State Players Broadway musicals. She is an experienced musical director, having directed shows for the past 20 years.

An accomplished teacher and recitalist, she holds degrees from the University of Kansas (DMA), University of Missouri-Kansas City (MM), and Truman State University (BME). Her recitals have taken her as far as the Czech Republic, where she performed in 2010, accompanied by pianist Jaroslav Saroun, from the Music Academy of Prague.

Rosine’s daughter, Elizabeth Underwood, will portray Rapunzel in the production.
