I was delighted recently to hear the announcement of the “Miracle on Fifth Street” float parade. I would like to remind the public of the “Flood on Seventh Street" float parade that will probably be coming sometime this spring just two blocks east of the recent Fifth Street parade.
We will have some interesting true “floats.” In the past years we have had large garbage dumpsters floating, lots of branch “floats” and a very interesting “float’ of a very irritated cat riding a floating dalmation.
I would advise though that anyone bringing chairs to view the parade to make sure they place their chairs on high ground so that they do not make themselves unwilling participants in the “float parade.”
We have these “floats” going past our business on the 100 block of 7th Street several times a year. We invite you to just listen for the sound of heavy rain this coming year to know when you can watch these upcoming “float” parades. You are welcome to view them on the sandbags we have to permanently have installed inside our front door.
