PLYMOUTH – Law enforcement officials serving a felony arrest warrant in Plymouth arrested a Fairbury man for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia Thursday.

According to a press release by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force served an arrest warrant at a residence located at 211 E. Endicott St. in Plymouth.

There, they identified a male subject named Paul Moats who was taken into custody. The press release did not state what Moats was wanted for.

Also in the home at that time was Douglas Beu of Fairbury, who was arrested on an unrelated charge of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Matthew Schultz said the matter remains under investigation.
