The Southeast Community College baseball team has won six of their last seven games, bringing their record to 28-17 on the year.
Their most recent two wins was a doubleheader sweep of Doane JV on Monday at Christensen Field.
The Storm won the first game 3-1. Jonny Reyes picked up the win, pitching four innings and giving up one run on six hits while striking out three and walking two.
Zach Pinkerton pitched a scoreless inning in relief and Gavin Gragg picked up a two inning save, striking out three batters in the process.
Ben Palensky, Chris Cornish and Nathan Schrum scored a run each for SCC. Alec Lee had an RBI.
Beatrice won the second game of the doubleheadeer 8-0. Whatt Anderson pitched six innings, giving up only one hit while striking out three and walking three. Karsten Marker pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
Alec Lee had a home run and single and four RBI's in the game while Austin Greenfield, Nathan Schrum and Brock Olson had a double each. Mason Prososki had two singles.
Prior to that, SCC won three out of four games against Dakota County Tech. They won the first game 10-0, the second game 17-1, the third game 4-1 before dropping the fourth game 8-3.
On April 19, Beatrice defeated Cloud County 9-7.
the hot streak comes after the Storm lost four games in a row, three of which came against Southeastern Community College. They also fell to Johnson County Community College.
The Storm will be in action on Wednesday when they travel to Iowa Western before a three game weekend series at McCook Community College. They will then have a doubleheader against Midland JV on May 3 before closing out their regular season at home against MCC-Longview on May 6 and 7.
