HESSTON, Kan. -- The Southeast Community College baseball team won three out of four games at Hesston College over the weekend.
On Friday, Beatrice won both games of the doubleheader 6-4 and 15-5.
In the first game, Mason Prososki had two hits and two runs scored while Grant Van Scoy, Ryan Cornell and Ben Palensky had two RBI's each.
Trey Kissack pitched five innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out four and walking four. Gavin Gragg picked up the win, pitching an inning of relief and giving up one run on one hit. BJ Sparks pitched the seventh inning and picked up his fourth save.
In the second game on Friday, SCC scored 10 of their 15 runs in the third inning. Russ Lowe had three hits including a home run and five RBI's. Chris Cornish and Alc Lee had two hits each while a host of other SCC players collected one hit each. Alec Lee had two RBI's.
Nate Lorenzen picked up the win, pitching four innings and giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out three and walking two. Jonny Reyes and Xavier Bradley-Rael pitched an inning each.
The Storm lost their first game of Saturday's doubleheader 8-6, but won the second game by the same score.
The Storm is now 22-12 on the season. They travel to Johnson County on Tuesday before hosting a doubleheader with Doane JV on Wednsday at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
