Nebraska's Kate Cain was named Big Ten freshman of the week for a fourth time this season.

The 6-foot-5 center recorded a triple-double in the Huskers' 86-69 win against Florida Atlantic on Dec. 19. Cain had a career-high 22 points, 14 rebounds and a school-record 11 blocks, notching the program's first points-rebounds-blocks triple-double.

Cain's 11 blocks broke the previous mark of nine set by 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Danielle Page against Baylor in 2007.

Cain had three more blocks in a loss to Washington State last week, pushing her season total to 50. She is four blocks away from tying a school freshman record.

The Middletown, New York, native is averaging 11.2 points and team bests of 7.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game for a 9-4 Nebraska team that already has two more victories than its total from 2016-17.

Nebraska begins Big Ten play Thursday against Ohio State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
