The Pelicans travel to New York to face the Knicks at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in Madison Square Garden. Here are three things to know.
1) DAVIS DELIVERS
Anthony Davis missed Wednesday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies due to a right ankle injury, but bounced back in a big way to beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. Davis tallied 36 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks showing no ill effects on the sore ankle.
2) SPEED BUMP
One of the Knicks' rare highlights of the past three weeks came courtesy of the Pelicans in a 105-103 comeback win on Dec. 30 in the Smoothie King Center. It was one just two Knicks since Dec. 22. New York has lost nine of their past 11 games.
3) KEEPING IT .500
The Pelicans (21-20) are hoping to avoid their 10th .500 record since Dec. 1. New Orleans has held records of 11-11, 12-12, 13-13, 14-14, 15-15, 16-16, 18-18, 19-19 and 20-20 over the past six weeks.
