The Southeast Community College men's and women's teams fell on the road to Highland Community College on Monday.
The men's team fell 92-79. They trailed 35-25 at the half and couldn't close the gap in the second half.
The Storm had five players score in double figures, including Taylor Britt with 19, Jalen Wilkins-McCoy with 16, Daniel Queseneberry and Kade Marra with 12 each and Bobby Parker with 10.
SCC was out-rebounded in the game 38-30.
It was the third straight loss for the men's team. They dropped a pair of home games last week, including a 109-107 loss to Nortehast on Feb. 14 and a 99-74 loss to North Platte on Saturday.
Prior to the losses, SCC had won nine in a row. Their record on the season is no1 17-12 and they will wrap up their regular season on Saturday when they travel to Columbus to take on Central Community College at 4 p.m.
The Lady Storm also fell to Highland on Monday 88-36. Highland led 24-6 after the first quarter and 46-13 at half time and never looked back.
Highland is currently nationally ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA Division II.
Marcia Hawkins led SCC with eight points off the bench while Jay'la Brown had seven and Kaatia Watene and Sebit Gatluak had six each.
The Lady Storm was out-rebounded 58-28 in the game.
The SCC women are also in the midst of a three game losing streak. They fell to Northeast on Feb. 14 96-52 and lost to North Platte on Saturday 66-55.
The Lady Storm is now 5-21 on the season. They wrap up their regular season with a home game against Midland JV on Tuesday night and a road game at Central Community College in Columbus at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
