The Southeast Community College men basketball teams notched a win against Fort Scott Community College on Monday, but the women fell.
The men's team won 85-67. They led 37-31 at half time and outscored Fort Scott 48-36 in the second half for the win.
Bobby Parker had 33 points for the Storm while Jalen Wilkins-McCoy had 24 points. Taylor Britt had nine points while Kade Marra came off the bench to score seven points.
Richie Rodger had five points, Daniel Quesenberry had four points and Shou Nisbet had three points.
Wilkins-McCoy had 11 rebounds for SCC, giving him a double-double in the game. Britt had 10 assists. As a team, the Storm outrebounded Fort Scott 43-21 and also won the assist battle 16-9.
SCC is now 10-9 on the season and will be in action again on Friday when they host Fort Scott at 6 p.m.
The Lady Storm fell to Fort Scott 75-53 Monday night. SCC fell behind 23-18 in the first quarter and trailed 39-29 at half time. Fort Scott was able to pull away in the second half.
Sebit Gatluak and Erika Goracke had 11 points each to lead the Lady Storm. Ja'yla Brown had seven points, DeAsia Walker had six points, Emily Toman had five points, Marcia Hawkins and Kaatia Walker had four points each, Dalen Pillitati had three points and Dajah Washington had two points.
The Lady Storm out-rebounded Fort Collins, but turned it over 28 times in the game.
SCC is now 2-13 on the season and will also host McCook CC on Friday at 4 p.m.
