The Nebraska State Playoff brackets have been released and Beatrice will get a chance at revenge in their first round game.

The Orangemen (8-1) are the No. 7 seed in Class B and will host tenth-seeded Elkhorn (5-4) at 7 p.m. Friday night at the House of Orange.

The Antlers dealt Beatrice their only loss of the season on Sept. 8 at the House of Orange. Beatrice dominated most of the statistical categories in the game, but still lost 38-21.

The winner of Friday's game will advance to the quarterfinals to play the winner of second-seeded Elkhorn South (8-1) and 15th-seeded Omaha Gross (5-4).

The other first round games on Beatrice's side of the bracket included third-seeded York (8-1) against 14th-seeded Omaha Roncalli (5-4) and 11th-seeded Blair (6-3) against sixth-seeded Scottsbluff (8-1).

On the top half of the bracket, first round matchups include top-seeded Gretna (9-0) against 16th-seeded Plattsmouth (3-6); ninth-seeded Northwest (6-3) against eighth-seeded Columbus (7-2); fifth-seeded McCook (8-1) against 12th-seeded Waverly (6-3) and 13th-seeded Aurora (5-4) against fourth-seeded Omaha Skutt (7-2).

Fairbury (9-0) has earned the No. 2 seed in Class C1 and will host a first round game against 15th-seeded Pierce (5-4) at 5 p.m. Friday night. With a win, the Jeffs would advance to play the winner of seventh-seeded West Point-Beemer (8-1) and 10th-seeded Columbus Lakeview (7-2).

Wilber-Clatonia (8-1), the defending Class C2 State Champions, are the eighth seed in Class C2 this year. They will open with a 6 p.m. home game Friday night against ninth-seeded Battle Creek (6-3).

With a win, the Wolverines would play the winner of top-seeded Ponca (9-0) and 16th-seeded Doniphan-Trumbull (6-3).

In Class D1, Diller-Odell (6-2) will be an eight seed in the playoffs and will host ninth-seeded Plainview (4-4) at 3 p.m. on Thursday.

With a win, the Griffins would advance to play the winner of top-seeded Creighton (8-0) and 16th-seeded McCool Junction (2-6).

In Class D2, Meridian (5-3) will be a ninth seed and will travel to eighth-seeded Randolph (6-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday night. With a win, they would advance to play the winner of top-seeded Bloomfield (8-0) and 16th-seeded Exeter-Milligan (3-5).

Pawnee City (3-5) also reached the Class D2 field. They are a 15th seed and will open at second-seeded Bruning-Davenport-Shickley (8-0) at 6 p.m. Thursday night. With a win, they would play the winner of seveth-seeded Fullerton (7-1) and 10th-seeded Osceola (4-4).
