COLUMBUS -- The Norris girls golf team finished ninth at the NSAA Class B State Championships on Tuesday.
As a team, the Titans finished with a two day score of 873.
Omaha Duchesne was the Class B team champions. They finished with a score of 697 (+59) while Scottsbluff came in second with a score of 727.
Gering finished third, Columbus finished fourth, Sidney finished fifth, Aurora finished sixth, York finished seventh and Hastings finished eighth.
Leading the way for the Lady Titans was Valerie Gabel. The senior shot a 91 on Monday and a 97 on Tuesday at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus. Her two day score of 188 was good enough to tie for 16th place individually.
Lauren Havlat was Norris' next best finisher. She shot a 100 on Monday and a 107 on Tuesday for a two day score of 207, which put her in 39th place.
Emma Severson shot a 117 on Monday and a 111 on Tuesday for the Lady Titans, putting her in 57th place.
Rounding out the Norris scoring was Olivia Lentfer with a 253 and Grace Gutzmer with a 263.
Shelby Poynter of Scottsbluff was the individual champion. She shot a 74 on Monday and an 81 on Tuesday for a two day score of 155 (+9).
Danica Badura of Aurora was second with a score of 158, Kendra Placke of Seward was third with a 160, Aspen Luebbe of Columbus and Kirstein Goertz of Omaha Duchesne finished tied for fourth with scores of 164. Anna Boor of Duchesne finished sixth with a 168.
The Johnson County Central girls golf team competed at the Class C State Tournament in North Platte and finished 15th.
Erika Cruz led the way for the Lady Thunderbirds with a two day score of 198 while Charla Eggleston and Taylor Gerdes both shot a 218. Kylie Kleespies rounded out the JCC scoring with a.
HTRS had one state qualifier, Amber Blank, who finished with a two day score of 207.
