There’s nothing like a stomach flu to ruin the week, though it certainly made the nutrition plan easy for the week.
We’re going to the gym 5-6 times per week these days and I’m starting to see the same people over and over. I like to think that I provided added motivation for people at the gym, almost like a billboard warning them “I better work hard so I don’t end up like that guy.”
In truth, everyone I’ve encountered at Anytime Fitness has been supportive. I still rather enjoy the Friday and Saturday nights when I sometimes have the entire gym to myself.

We’ve started incorporating a little more weight training into our workouts which I’ve rather enjoyed. I feel a little less pitiful knowing I can lift heavy things. It’s a nice change from when we’re doing cardio and my wife is jogging on the machine next to me and trying to have a conversation while I’m only walking fast and can barely breathe. Perhaps that’s all part of her plan?
Courtney is always pestering our trainer, Bryan, trying to learn more about his personal life or anything else that can change the subject from our nutrition plan and workout. One day she had him wearing a sign around his neck that said “WWBE” – (What Would Bryan Eat) as a reminder to make healthy choices.
It’s going to be a long road, but I’m happy we’re moving in the right direction.
