Pounds lost this week: 6
Sometimes I hate facts.
Fact is, it took a long time to put on all this extra weight and it’s going to take just as long to take it off. The scale doesn’t move fast enough.
Another terrible fact: It doesn’t matter how hard you work at the gym if your nutrition isn’t right.
We had another good week of workouts at Anytime Fitness and don’t dread going to the gym like we did a month ago. It’s becoming part of our normal routine. At this point, it’s the diet and nutrition that is slowing down my progress. I keep telling myself it’s getting better, as if to excuse the fact that it’s not where it should be. There’s work yet to be done.
I’ve got to give kudos to Bryan for his approach to training. There’s been a few days where we came to gym tired, sore or in bad moods, but that guy’s positive energy is contagious and we always leave feeling better (mentally) than we were beforehand.
We’ve got pretty lofty goals set for ourselves. Courtney has signed up to run a 5K at the end of this challenge and I’m hoping to be fit enough to ride my bicycle back and forth from Pickrell to Beatrice like I used to love years ago.
I know it won’t be easy to achieve those goals, but with Bryan’s help and a lot of hard work I feel like this Fitness Challenge can really help us reclaim the lives we want for ourselves. And that’s a fact.
