“Home Sweet Homecoming” was the theme for Freeman Public Schools Homecoming held Friday evening, Oct. 4. The evening’s events began with a parade down Main Street in Adams at 5:30 p.m. The Music Boosters served a meal in the high school commons following the parade until 7 p.m.
The Freeman Football team hosted the Malcolm Clippers. After the game, the coronation ceremony was held at mid-field. The 2019 Homecoming Queen is Addi Dorn, daughter of Greg and Kristi Dorn. The 2019 Homecoming King is Chase Meints, son of Anthony and Jonnie Meints. The king and queen were crowned by reigning 2018 king Logan Anderson and 2018 queen, Ashley Parde. Crown Bearers were Kindergarten students Jocelynn Fountain and Jack Ahlschwede. A special thank you is extended to Leo’s Jewelers of Beatrice for donating the queen’s crown, and to Lisa Buhr for assistance in creating the royalty float for the parade.
The 2019 Royalty Court: Seniors – Emme Weber, RaeAnn Hartwig, Nolan Robinson, and Trey Yates. Juniors – Brooklyn Ideus and Wyatt Currie. Sophomores –Kailey Otto and Haden Otto. Freshmen – Sadie Larkins and Trevor Parde.
High School students celebrated the culmination of Homecoming festivities with a dance at the school following the Coronation.
