The votes have been counted for the seventh-annual Downtown Beatrice Holiday Store Front Display Contest, with over 400 ballots cast in the contest. The 2018 theme, “Have a Heavenly Holiday” provided inspiration for many of the downtown merchants.
This year, dozens of businesses are helping spread the Christmas spirit by adding amazing displays, color, and in many cases sound and animation to their store fronts. Out of the hundreds of votes cast in the 2018 People’s Choice contest the winner proved to be The Bargain Box, with 88 votes cast.
The Bargain Box, a local volunteer driven non-profit was able to rally there shoppers and take home the victory. Pinnacle Bank came in just behind them finishing second. Scheer Quality Furniture and Gems & Junk tied for third place with 38 votes apace. Eighteen downtown businesses participated in the contest this year with dozens of additional business sporting holiday displays that add excitement to the store fronts all across the downtown area.

* Most Creative – Scheer Quality Furniture

Of all the awards the People’s Choice Award is arguably the most sought after prize. Again congratulations to The Bargain Box and the 2018 Store Front Display Contest.
