Multiple people were arrested for drug offenses in Fairbury after authorities served a search warrant.

On Monday, deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence at 1115 A St. in Fairbury.

During the search, a press release stated methamphetamine and marijuana were found. Also

discovered were items associated with distribution of a controlled substance, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Six people were arrested at the scene and charged with possession of a controlled Substance and distribution of a controlled substance.

Those arrested at the scene were Troy Siems, Ronald Littell, Jeffrey Wares, Robin Erichsen, Ashley Nicholson and Brandon Whorton.

Whorton was also arrested for an outstanding Warrant out of Richardson County and was charged additionally with resisting arrest, assault on a police officer and interfering with a government operations.

The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed, the press release stated.
