Area law enforcement and rescue crews responded to two separate crashes Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning that sent six people to area hospitals.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue Capt. Craig Fisher said on Tuesday at around 7:20 p.m. a crash occurred at the PWF and 61st roads, north of Odell.

Two vehicle were involved in the crash, and four people were transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Beatrice and Wymore ambulances for minor injuries Fisher said were not believed to be life threatening. A fifth person involved was transported to the trauma unit at Bryan Health in Lincoln.

On Wednesday morning another crash occurred, this one at Highway 77 and Locust Road, south of Beatrice.

Fisher said the crash involved two pickups and one person was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital with minor injuries. A second person involved refused medical transport at the scene.

The crashes remain under investigation.
