Beatrice police arrested a man for drug offenses after responding to a disturbance on Saturday.
At 6:30 p.m. Saturday Beatrice police were dispatched to a verbal argument involving 39-year-old Justin D. Stewart, who authorities knew had an active arrest warrant.
Officers arrived at the residence in the 1800 block of Scott Street and saw him in the doorway.
According to arrest documents, Stewart was searched and police found a small baggie with a white crystal substance determined to be methamphetamine. Further searching revealed a small back bag that contained another baggie of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe in a sunglasses case that had residue. A third bag of methamphetamine was also found.

Arrest documents state that the weight and number of baggies was consistent with drug distribution, though Stewart allegedly told police the methamphetamine was for personal use.
Arrest documents also noted Stewart was on probation for previous drug-related offenses.
He was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
