A Valley Center, Kan. man was arrested after he allegedly caused a disturbance in a Beatrice store.
Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday Beatrice police were dispatched to Walmart for reports of a suspicious person.
The suspect was reportedly standing by the door, drinking from a bottle of whiskey. The man, later identified as Juan A. Figueroa Jr., 25, had entered the store when police arrived.
A man matching his description was found in the store, and arrest documents state he became extremely hostile when contacted by police. He refused to stop walking and told police to leave him alone.

Authorities could smell alcohol on Figueroa’s breath, and he tried to walk out of the store and began cursing and yelling.
Police patted him down while doing a warrant check, and he pulled away from officers, continuing to pull and struggle. He was eventually taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs.
Figueroa was placed under arrest for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
