Beatrice police arrested a man for multiple drug offenses after he was found passed out in a vehicle.
David S. Fentress, 27, was arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police were dispatched to reports of a man passed out in a silver vehicle behind an apartment complex in the 500 block of North 11th Street. Police contacted Fentress, who was asleep behind the steering wheel.
During a consent search, police found a plastic container with two small baggies on Fentress with a white crystal substance in each that tested positive for methamphetamine.
A glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine was also found, as was a small baggie of marijuana.
During a further search of the vehicle, police found a small scale, several baggies, hypodermic needles and glass pipes.
During questioning, Fentress allegedly admitted to selling drugs and gave police consent to search his apartment, where more narcotics were found in individual bags, in addition to more drug paraphernalia.
Bond was set Thursday morning at $7,500 with a 10 percent deposit. He’s due back in court Aug. 7.
