A Lincoln woman will spend a year on probation after being arrested for drug possession in Gage County earlier this year.
Ashley M. Donnar, 29, was sentenced Wednesday in Gage County District Court to serve 12 months on probation for attempted possession of methamphetamine, which was reduced from a charge of possession of methamphetamine, and pay a $100 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A third charge of negligent child abuse was previously dismissed.
Donnar was arrested on May 31 after police were dispatched to the 400 block of North 11th Street in Beatrice for reports of a woman who was acting funny.
Police contacted Donnar, who was on the front porch. Court documents state Donnar told police she had used methamphetamine three days ago and was coming down.
She told police she was staying with her brother, who wasn’t there at the time, and offered to let police search the residence.
A search was conducted with the resident’s probation officer and several syringes and a silver spoon were found in the residence. The spoon contained a white substance and tested positive for methamphetamine.
