Beatrice police arrested a man early Saturday who allegedly stabbed someone after an argument over a game of pool.
At around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Beatrice police were dispatched to The Rail bar in Beatrice for reports a man being stabbed in the stomach.
The victim was found inside the bar with a large wound on his abdomen. The victim identified 26-year-old Santos G. Centeno Lopez as the man who stabbed him, as did witnesses in the bar.
The two men allegedly started fighting over a game of pool and the argument escalated. Lopez was allegedly in a headlock when he stabbed the victim. Underneath a vehicle in the parking lot was a brown-handled folding knife.
Lopez denied possessing a knife.
He was placed under arrest for first-degree domestic assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
