Areta V. Doyle

Areta V. Doyle age 91 of Beatrice, formerly of Wymore, passed away on July 31, 2019 at the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. She was born on December 6, 1927 in Beatrice to Harold A. “Brownie” and Carrie E. Workman. She was a 1945 graduate of Beatrice High School. She married Francis Doyle on October 20, 1946 in Marysville, KS. She and her husband lived on a farm south of Wymore until moving to Beatrice in 2000. Areta worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years at Ratigan-Schottler and at Tempo for 10 years. She was a former member of the Wymore Church of Christ and a current member of the Westside Baptist Church in Beatrice. She was a 4-H leader; member of the 45 Club; enjoyed Big Band and Barbershop singing, cooking, sewing, quilting, canning, and attending her kids, grandkids and great grandkids activities.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Judy DeRoos and husband Fred of Yankton, SD, Sandy Watmore and husband Mike of Denton, NE, Dennis Doyle and wife Shelley of Shawnee, KS, Mike Doyle of Hickman, and Dan Doyle and wife Connie of Beatrice; grandchildren, Spencer, Jeremy, Tricia, Jessica, Sarah, Nicholas, Ryan, Carrie, and Lauren; 6 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dr. Dean Doyle and wife Phyllis of Beatrice; many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis (2001); 1 granddaughter; 1 sister; and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with Jon Palmquist officiating. Burial will be at the Wymore Cemetery. The body will lie in state on Friday, August 2nd from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service Saturday. A memorial has been established to the family's choice for future designation with the funeral home in charge. Sign Areta's online register book at www.ghchapel.com.
