Christina A. (Christen) Hindera

Christina A. Hindera, 81, of St. Mary passed away on Jan. 28, 2018.

Christina was born to Ernest and Amelia (Wenzl) Christen on June 4, 1936 in rural Pawnee City. She graduated from Pawnee City High School. Chris was united in marriage to Anthony B. Hindera on Nov. 12, 1957. She was a longtime bookkeeper for Field-Ford in Tecumseh.

Survivors include her daughters, Genevieve Lempka (Jim) of St. Mary, Evelyn Jacobsen (Jay) and June Weyers (Dan) of Waverly; six grandchildren, Asa Lempka (Jenna), Avery Lempka, Ashley Allen (Clint), Lacey Hoffman (Eric), Sydney Weyers and Anthony Weyers; her great-grandchildren, Jayley Allen and Blake Hoffman; her step-grandchildren, Constance Krull (Kelly) and Scott Weyers (Kellie); six step-great grandchildren; her sisters, Millie Puchalla (Roy) of Waverly and Clara Bernadt (John) of Crete; her sisters-in-law, Donna Hindera and Chris Monteleone; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her brother, Lawrence; and her nephews, James and David Christen.

A mass of Christian burial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tecumseh.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the family with later designation to Mahoney State Park. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery of St. Mary, Neb. Visit
