Donald R. Morrison
Donald R. Morrison, 69, of Beatrice died in Lincoln on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018. He was born on April 25, 1948 at Clarinda, Iowa and graduated from Ft. Lupton, Colo. in 1967. He had a 22-year military career in the Army, serving in Vietnam and Korea. After his discharge, he attended an electronic trade school and then owned and operated Morrison Electronics. He also worked for Stan's and Store Kraft in Beatrice. He was a volunteer at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, working with stroke victims. He was a member of the American Legion in Missouri. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, genealogy and especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pam of Beatrice; his sons, Paul Morrison of Beatrice and Samuel (Jadah) Morrison of Colorado; his daughter, Nicole (Bill) Kiffin of Brady; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Logan, Kyrie, Ethan, Madysen, Orion, Mike, Leo and Brook; his brothers, Lloyd (Alicia) Morrison of Maryland, and Richard and Bill Morrison, both of Colorado; his sisters, Sally Proctor of Michigan and Echoe Shriver of North Dakota; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Morrison and Dawn Wiltfong Brown; his daughter, Modanna Michelle Morrison; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Proctor and Jeff Shriver.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, with David A. Bigley officiating. There will be no viewing, due to cremation. A register book will be available for signatures at Fox Funeral Home on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
