Janice D. Vogt
Janice D. Vogt, 88, of Beatrice died on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at her home. She was born August 1, 1931 at Valparaiso and as a child moved to Beatrice where she graduated from Beatrice High School in 1948 and played the clarinet in the Beatrice School Band. She worked at Store Kraft as an Executive secretary where she met and later married Kenneth Vogt on June 24, 1951 at the First Christian Church of Beatrice. They moved to a farm west of Plymouth where she helped with farming and she also worked at the Hoover Group as an executive secretary. They had two sons and later moved to Tillsonburg Ontario Canada where she helped Ken build a successful business, before returning to Plymouth and then eventually moving to Beatrice. She and her husband helped build the current Peace United Methodist Church in Plymouth. She loved animals and had many cats and was a teaspoon collector. She also enjoyed flying their plane with her husband all over the United States.
Survivors include her husband, Ken of Beatrice; two sons, Richard Vogt of Lombard, IL and Randy Vogt of Beatrice; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Eunice Worster of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Donner Scott; one brother, Lynn Scott.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at the Peace United Methodist Church of Plymouth with Rev. Ed Millican officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Plymouth. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday at the church. Closed casket visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice and from 12:00 noon to 8:00 P.M. at the Fox Funeral Home of Plymouth.
