Jeanne Kilroy was born July 30, 1938 and passed away March 20, 2018 in Beatrice surrounded by her immediate family. Jeanne was a loving mother, grandmother and a dedicated nurse. Jeanne was an avid reader, and she loved spending time with her family and friends and was always more concerned for their well-being than for her own battle with illness. She fought a very determined battle with Lupus until the end while continuing to look after her grandchildren and her family.
Jeanne is survived by her sons Robert (Karla) Zito, Lincoln, Russell (Josi) Zito, Wymore, Spencer Kilroy, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter Jennifer Zito, Portland, Ore.; sisters Terry Hamilton, Yuma, Ariz., Kathleen (Robert) Meisner, Calif.; grandchildren Shannon, Sara, Elizabeth, Weston, Abigale, Nic, Isabelle; great-grandchildren Randy, Emma, Samantha, Penelope; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special group of friends in the Barneston area. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin “Sam” Kilroy, parents Thomas and Jean (McKinney) Head; and her grandparents.
Jeanne's family would like to thank everyone involved in her health care and her determined battle against illness.
A celebration of Jeanne's life will be held Saturday April 21 at noon at Barneston Legion Hall. Memorials are suggested to the Lupus Foundation of America, or to the family's choice. Online condolences may be left at NebraskaCremation.com.
