Margaret Andersen, 91, of Beatrice, died Sunday morning, October 27, 2019 at a Lincoln hospital. She was born on February 5, 1928 at Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1946. She married Richard Andersen on July 17, 1946 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beatrice. They lived in Lincoln for four years and moved to the Ellis area to farm until 1971 when they moved to Beatrice. She worked for Pamida for six years, Form Fit for 17 years, and J.C. Penneys for four years, all in Beatrice. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice, American Legion Auxiliary of Beatrice, life member of the Purple Heart Auxiliary of Lincoln, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary of Beatrice where she was a past department commander and department treasurer. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Larry) Hartman of Nebraska City; son, Ron (Tammy) Andersen of Omaha; seven grandchildren, Chris (Brett) Clark, Jennifer (Eric) Rohr, Matthew (Jennifer) Andersen, Deeanna (Dana) Valish, Janet (Matt) Eppenbach, Sarah Andersen and Daylin Andersen; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Brown, Evelyn Mitchell, and Theresia Robertson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloys and Magdalen Grell Meyer, her husband, Richard, who died on February 4, 2003, two sons, James and Duane and his wife Marie, a great-grandson, Ethan Andersen, brother Robert Meyer, and two sisters, Lucille Kroll and Virginia Neukirch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beatrice with Father Robert Barnhill, Celebrant. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A Scriptural Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
