Marjorie A. Rademacher

Marjorie A. Rademacher, 78, of Beatrice, and formerly of Filley, died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017. She was born June 4, 1939 in rural Adams and graduated from Adams High School in 1956. She married Heye J. Rademacher on Dec. 13, 1956 at Christ Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell and became a member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. She worked as a receiving clerk at J.C. Penney's for over 20 years until her retirement. She had also worked at J.M. McDonald's, Ben Franklin and the Beatrice Daily Sun. She enjoyed her grandchildren and having coffee with friends.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Rademacher of Filley and David Rademacher of Beatrice; one daughter, Debbie Thompson of Beatrice; seven grandchildren, Brittany Rademacher and fiancé, Adam Gibson, Ashley and Treyton Rademacher, Dustin Thompson, Mandy Ewurs and husband, Frank, Brandi Kirkendall and Travis Herling and wife, Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Ryker Ewurs and Sage Gibson; four step-great-granddaughters, Brianna Kirkendall, Alexandria Herling, Trinity and Rosalyn Swaink; two brothers, Henry (Blanche) Evers of Denver and Donald (Joni) Evers of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Norma (Donald) Huls of Beatrice; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Otto of Beatrice and Evalena Pratt and husband, Dick, of Lincoln; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Frieda Meints Evers; her husband, Heye J. Rademacher, who died Nov. 5, 2009; one son-in-law, Merlyn Thompson; and one sister-in-law, Sadie Fanning.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell, with Pastor Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of rural Pickrell. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice, with Gary and Caroline Ideus in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 12 noon Saturday until 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church on Monday for one hour preceding the services. The family will meet and greet friends and other relatives from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
