Beatrice police arrested a man believed to have committed a burglary last week.

Milo C. Leslie, 24, was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property in connection with the Monday, Oct. 21 burglary.

Arrest documents state that during the burglary, which occurred at a residence in the 400 block of North Fifth Street, two televisions and two laptop computers were taken.

Officers later obtained information that Leslie was trying to sell two stolen laptop computers.

They went to the area where the sale was to take place and saw Leslie go into a house carrying a backpack. Police contacted Leslie after he entered the residence.

The bag was open and arrested document state a computer could be seen inside.

Leslie was questioned and allegedly admitted to the burglary, saying he entered the residence through an unlocked back door and took the items.

The computers were confirmed to be the ones taken due to their matching serial numbers. They were valued at a total of $800.

The two televisions were later recovered.
